Royal Chateau
Royal Chateau is a grand French-inspired waterfront estate built for a private client on Clearwater Beach, Florida. The multi-story facade is composed of textured limestone stucco, conical corner turrets with slate tile, and a layered sequence of covered loggias and wrought-iron balconies — each framing views across the Intracoastal. The street-facing entry is announced by a sculpted arch gate set within a clipped formal garden of boxwood topiary, Italian cypress, and royal palms, establishing the ceremonial character that continues throughout.
Inside, the entry hall is one of the most richly appointed residential interiors the firm has executed: a black-and-white marble diamond-pattern floor, hand-painted chinoiserie wallcovering in silver and gold, and a sweeping curved stair with custom ornamental iron balustrade. The arched entry surround frames a direct sightline to the water, drawing Gulf light deep into the heart of the home. The formal dining room carries the same level of detail — full wainscoting and panel moldings, a carved white marble fireplace, cathedral-arched French doors with Juliette balconies, and a crystal-and-bronze chandelier centered on the water view.
Built and completed on Clearwater Beach, Royal Chateau represents the firm’s command of European classical tradition at estate scale — a home where every detail, from the turret silhouette against the sky to the finish of a plaster molding, is executed with the discipline and specificity that serious architecture demands.
